Remember that all French nouns are either masculine or feminine.

	masculine	feminine	before vowel	plural
MY	mon	ma	mon	mes
YOUR (singular, informal)	ton	ta	ton	tes
HIS, HER, ITS	son	sa	son	ses
OUR	notre	notre	notre	nos
YOUR (plural or formal)	votre	votre	votre	vos
THEIR	leur	leur	leur	leurs

Examples:

My father	Mon père	masc
My mother	Ma mère	fem
His father	Son père	masc
Her father	Son père	masc
Her father	Son père	masc
Her mother	Sa mère	fem

masc singl:	mon pere, mon frere, mon amu, mon chien
fem singl:	ma mere, ma soeur, ma maison, ma calculatrice
all plural:	mes freres, mes soeurs, mes calculatrices
Vowel-start singl MUST with mon:	mon amie, mon echarpe, mon orange
